Places of the Heart
The home and places of the heart is my chosen subject for today. These are the interiors we all live in and miss deeply when we are not there. A place of safety and shelter, often spiced with the scent of mothers and grandmothers and half forgotten memories of childhood and family. Almost all of these paintings show chairs; homes are a place of comfort and relaxation. Paintings of interiors also represents our private self, the well guarded person inside, with the blinds firmly shut.
