Boats
This week we will be “messing about in boats.” I have always liked boats ever since, as an eight year old, I came with my parents from the UK to New Zealand through the Panama Canal. What an adventure! For an eight year old it was mesmerising and the effect has stayed with me ever since!

Low Tide
My interest in boats still remains, whether they are trawlers or tugs; in the water or out. The local creeks in Brisbane have been a great source for paintings, but I have sought out boats in creeks and harbours in many foreign places. Rough and ready trawlers have more character than sleek pleasure boats and that’s why I like them in a painting. I hope you enjoy the ones I have selected.
