I have a big collection of teapots. The photo below is of just a few of my collection of still life objects, but of the many possibilities, I tend to just use a few favourite ones. (Many are chipped or cracked, but turned around in the paintings so you can’t see that!) It’s not that I don’t like the others – I might use them some day in a still life painting. The same teapot can be seen in several of the paintings, however I have changed the pattern on the teapot as it suited the different flowers. Changing the decal is a common occurrence in my still life paintings; notice that all the teapots shown multiple times have a different decal in each painting!
