My sister in law, Judy, has an older-style Queensland house with a country kitchen. Whenever I visit, I sketch, and over the years I’ve painted just about all the house. There are lots of good angles and quiet corners. The house has a warm, friendly feeling. In my paintings from Judy’s house I’ve tried to capture the relaxed way of life we would all like to have, if only we weren’t always so madly busy!
