How Easter Market, Shorncliffe was painted
Easter in Brisbane coincides with the start of the Brisbane to Gladstone yacht race. At the associated market, I chose a good spot and established the overall scene. Then I picked figures to sketch from the passing throng. Especially anyone who lingered for a time in one spot. The final painting was completed in the studio from the on-the-spot sketches. As you can see, I changed my mind half way through – then later changed it back again!
