The
box is made of hardboard and aluminium angle riveted together
A
small washer stops the rivet pulling through the hardboard.
The
handles are made of curtain rod, two washers and a threaded rod.
A
good stencil can be made using Word, blown up several times by photocopy
after the letters are cut out, its ready for spray paint.
Space
is left in the lid for the handles, making the box easy to lift.
Since I've had these boxes I've never had a frame damaged. I've
shipped hundreds of pastels under glass by rail, truck and bus and
never broken any glass or had the pastel dust come off onto the
glass. The size of the box should suit your painting but the box
should be wide enough to stand up by itself, this particular box
will take three paintings.
